Alyse Stiles-Gick , age 59, of Pennsauken, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 7, 1965. Alyse was predeceased by her parents R. Joyce Stiles (nee Bristle) and Howard Palm Stiles, Jr.

Alyse attended Cherry Hill High School West where she was a cheerleader. She attended La Salle College and then completed her bachelor's in Elementary Education at Glassboro State College. Alyse worked for the Willingboro School District for more than 25 years at the same school, Garfield East. She taught all different grades but, began her career teaching kindergarten. Throughout her time in Willingboro, Alyse continued her education, obtaining her Masters in Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. She also obtained her Educational Leadership Certification for being a principal and supervisor from Rowan University as she thought about a career in school leadership.

Alyse also was very active in her union, the Willingboro Education Association. She held many leadership roles in the union and at one point was Vice President. She met many lifelong friends and retired from Willingboro in June 2016. After retirement, Alyse did many part-time jobs. However, her favorites were working for Cherry's Water Ice in Cherry Hill and recently as a Records Clerk for the Cherry Hill Police Department.

Alyse loved and enjoyed many things including visits to the beach, especially Long Beach Island, crafting, politics, attending family gatherings, getting together with friends, and all with a Diet Coke can in hand. But perhaps the one thing she loved and cherished the most was her son, Justin. Alyse and Justin did everything together and had a special bond, they were inseparable. If you knew Alyse, you knew Justin. She would always share a story about him and his career.

Alyse is survived by her son Justin Gick of Bismarck, North Dakota. She is also survived by family and many friends.

Family and friends may call 6:00 PM-8:00 PM in Alloway Funeral Home, 315 East Maple Avenue Merchantville, NJ on Thursday evening, October 3, 2024. Relatives and friends may also call Friday, October 4, 2024, 10:00 AM-10:30 AM at Mary Queen of All Saints Parish -St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, 4801 Camden Avenue, Pennsauken. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.
