Antoinette F. Mercer, a resident of Masonic Village at Burlington and formerly of Westampton Township, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2018. She was 92.

She was one of six children born to Frank and Anna Kozicki (nee Mosinski) and grew up in Gary, Indiana, where she graduated from Gen. Lew Wallace High School. She married Daniel R. Mercer of that city and moved east when he took a position with the new U.S. Steel Fairless Works in Bucks County, Pa.

Though quiet and shy, Antoinette enjoyed fashion and style, always dressing in quiet elegance. Her homes reflected the same sensibility in their furnishing and decoration. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She and her husband were charter members of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Willingboro, the church to which she belonged until her death.

When her husband was unable to work for a time due to ill health, she learned to drive and found a job at Macmillan Publishing in Riverside, where she was a clerk in the order processing department for over 32 years.

She was the bedrock of her family, a good woman, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose love was best expressed in quiet thoughtful acts for those who will now miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her siblings Helen Ross, Edward Kozicki, Joseph Kozicki, and Frank Kozicki, and by her much loved grandson, Trevor Lorne James.

She is survived by her sister, Florence Kozicki, of Crown Point, Indiana; her son, Daniel R. Mercer, II and his wife, Joann; her daughter, Janet James, and her husband John; her grandsons Daniel R. Mercer, III and Carson Daniel James, with wife Erin; and her great grandson, Dylan James.

A gathering of the immediate family will be held on August 17 ^th at Alloway Funeral Home in Merchantville, N.J. Antoinette will be laid to rest beside her husband at Lakeview Memorial Park.
