OBITUARY FOR ARTHUR PAUL BRANDENBURG

Arthur Paul Brandenburg (born April 29, 1939) passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, near his home in Greer, SC at the age of 82.  He is survived by his children:  Alicia Davis, Darren Brandenburg, Michael Brandenburg, their spouses (James Davis, Laura Brandenburg, Christine Brandenburg), and his grandchildren Sydney, Gavin, Evan, Becca, Drew, Kacie, Zoe, Keira, Jacob, and Erin.

In his younger days, Art played competitive softball with his longtime friends and enjoyed getting his hands dirty under the hood of antique and classic cars.  He capitalized on his love of cars by owning a body shop and an automotive appraisal service, but for most of his professional life, Art was a high-ranking claims executive for a global insurance company.  Even as he climbed the corporate ladder, his enduring passion was always cars.  It is believed that, over the course of his lifetime, he owned more than 50 automobiles, and he continued to buy, sell, and trade them into the last months of his life.

Arthur will be laid to rest in the presence of family at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where he will join his beloved wife, Eileen.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in both his and Eileen's remembrance.
