Betty J. Hall

August 22, 1928 – March 6, 2022

Betty J. (Hansche) Hall, 93, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home in Titusville, NJ, on Sunday, March 6, after long illness and declining health.  Betty was a beloved, esteemed wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, colleague, volunteer, role model, mentor, advocate, student and neighbor.

How to describe Betty?  Warm, loving, spirited, adventurous, courageous, brave, determined, resilient.

Surviving Betty are:  Her son Richard Hall and his wife Elizabeth Miller-Hall and her mother Sarah Miller, of Basking Ridge, NJ; daughter Jane (Hall) Lee and husband Tony Lee, of Titusville; granddaughter Betsy (Lee) Piccolo and husband Andrew Piccolo, of Lambertville, NJ; granddaughter Mandy Lee and partner Scott Brown, of Washington, DC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other treasured relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by:  Her beloved husband of 59 years, Wendell Hall; her parents Etna Mae (Halter) and Harvey Hansche, of Racine, WI; sister Virginia (Hansche) Young, of Milwaukee, WI; brother Richard Hansche, of Racine; first cousin and lifelong best friend Joan (Halter) Sorensen, of Shaker Heights, OH; first cousin and lifelong "surrogate brother" William Barr, of Dousman, WI; and other cherished relatives and friends.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Titusville United Methodist Church (address below) on Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m.  Reception in the church's fellowship hall to follow immediately afterward.  Scattering of ashes in New Jersey and Wisconsin will be private.

The family wishes to thank Betty's doctors and medical providers, in-home Holy Redeemer hospice team (Nurse Winsome and colleagues, bless you!), pastoral care (especially Pastors Emily and Dan, thank you!), and in-home elder-care team (especially Kris, Robin and Marie Joe, we are grateful!).
