Peacefully on December 18, 2017, age 76, (nee Habina) of Cherry Hill, NJ. Carolyn was born on October 26, 1941 in South Philadelphia where she lived until her late teens. She attended John Bartram High School and graduated in 1959. Carolyn was an accomplished gymnast, who denied her competition in the 1960 Sweden Olympics. She poured her heart into everything she did, especially loving her family. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (nee Klara) Habina. She was the beloved wife of Angelo P. Calabrese and devoted mother of Christine Downs, Richard Calabrese and Steven Calabrese. She was the loving grandmother of Jordan, Edward, III and James and dear sister of Thomas (Dottie) Habina, Glenn (Fillippa) Habina and Sandy (Kenny) Latini. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Monday January 8, 2018 in St. Rose of Lima Church 300 E. Kings Highway Haddon Hts., NJ. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery Springfield Twp., PA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to furthering the research of finding a cure for either breast cancer or scleroderma.
