Catherine "Kay" Jane Hussong (nee Weber) of Merchantville, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday August 7. Born in Camden, NJ, on December 5, 1923 to Frederick and Barbara Weber, Catherine graduated as valedictorian from Merchantville High School, Class of 1941. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of seventy years Dr. Wallace Bentley Hussong.

Catherine was an active member of her community, serving as President of both The Merchantville Women's Club and the Camden County Medical Society Auxiliary. After raising her children, she successfully pursued a career as a model and actress, joining both AFTRA and SAG. She appeared in various soap operas, television series, and was an extra in films including Philadelphia, Scent of a Woman, Trading Places, She Devil, and The Sixth Sense. Catherine was also a performing member of The Germantown Theater Guild.

Catherine was a loving and beloved Mother and Grandmother ("Ginga") and is survived by her son Wallace F. Hussong, daughters Barbara Jo Doose, Susan Hussong Willett, son-in-law John Doose and cherished granddaughters Susan Bentley and Barbara Ashley Doose and Catherine Merrill Willett. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law Francis M. Willett, III.

Catherine was a woman who always lit up a room with her presence, and will forever be remembered for her charm and elegance, for her kindness, and for the beauty and generosity of her spirit. "Ginga" will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her, as someone whose candle burned at both ends and gave the loveliest of lights.

Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
