Colleen M (Herman) Strong, 70, passed away on Friday, August 27 at home after an extended illness.

Colleen was a graduate of Vineland High School, class of 1968. She had a wide variety of interests and career aspirations, but the common thread was always service to others, even if it was just making someone smile with her sharp wit and amazing sense of humor. She loved flowers, especially yellow roses, and had a beautiful collection of elephants. She loved her family (both by blood and by circumstance) fiercely, and could light up a room with her smile.

Colleen was pre-deceased by her parents, Eugene Herman and Marie Rossi. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Messore, granddaughters Olivia, Aubrey, and Madalyn Messore, her brother Michael Herman, sisters Beverly Laimo and Jean Marie Herman, and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, burial will be private, and there will be no visitation. Donations may be made in Colleen's name to the World Wildlife Federation
