Born on October 25 1924, Cyrus Dinshah led a long life of service to his family and community. He was the oldest of the 8 children born to Dinshah P. Ghadiali (1873-1966) and Irene Hoger Dinshah (1904-1979).

Cyrus studied mathematics, astrology, music, religion and the occult. A radio and TV repairman by trade, he enjoyed travel and the arts. As a conscientious objector he spent time (1945-1946) in Civilian Public Service, assigned to soil conservation—cultivating trees and grasses. He learned to fly small planes while in New York State, a hobby for a few years.

Cyrus was secretary for the Malaga Volunteer Fire Company circa 1953. He and his mother, Irene, compiled family recipes for the Dinshah Cook Book (1950) which was vegetarian with cow milk but without eggs or honey.

When Cyrus' wife Ilsetraut Ihnow Dinshah (1924-2008. m. 1961) opened a dance school, Cyrus became studio and stage sound technician and assumed more of the household domestic duties including 40 years care of his sister Shireen (1947-2019) who had Down syndrome.  Cyrus conducted a dance class for seniors 2008 to August 28 2020 and was good on the balance beam. He knew the value of a positive attitude, wholesome food, and walking to health--as was his daily practice.

Cyrus is survived by brothers Darius (1927..) and Jal (1929..) and predeceased by brothers Hom Jay (1933-2000), Sarosh (1930-2010), Noshervan (1937-2010), and Roshan (1926-2019). Sister Shireen died on Cyrus birthday October 25 2019.
