Donda Lynn (Kraus) Sternberg, 58, of Monmouth Junction, NJ died on Thursday October 5, 2017 following a long illness. Donda was born on May 14, 1959 in Holyoke, MA and was the youngest child of the late Ronald and Wanda (Webster) Kraus. Donda was the Owner and Director of the Gentle Healing School of Massage and Owner of the Gentle Healing Wellness Spa created in 1996. She was a State licensed massage therapist since 1987. Donda believed in a holistic approach to life and taught her students that learning massage was more than a career, but a lifestyle. She graduated from New York Seminary with a degree in Spiritual Counseling. In January of 2000, Donda was appointed by NJ Governor Whitman to the State Board of Massage, Bodywork and Somatic Therapy Examining Committee and subsequently served for 11 years. Donda had a passion for motorcycles, especially Harleys. She also loved caring for and spoiling her little Westie, Roosevelt. Donda is survived by her loving companion Craig Cabarle; two sons Justin Patten (Rachel) of East Windsor and Jordan Sternberg of Monmouth Junction; two granddaughters Meadow and Dahlia Patten; two sisters Marie Holland (Donald) of King George, VA and Ronda Creedon (Rich) of Capistrano Beach, CA; and one brother Noah Kraus (Patricia) of Romney, WV.
