Elizabeth Ann Burleigh Hackett was loved by all who knew her both for her cheerful smile and kind spirit. Elizabeth (Betsy) was born in Washington D.C.  during the Great Depression.  She grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland where she lived with her father, Ernest Hackett,  a newspaperman who wrote for the Washington Post and her mother, Frances, a homemaker.  She lived most of her adult life with the Cobb family of Belleview, Florida where she will be mourned and missed.  She is predeceased by her sisters; Louise Hackett Molander and MaryJane Hackett Schaefer.  She is survived by her nephews and nieces: the Hackett- Molander Family: Julia Molander, John Molander, Erik Molander, Molly Molander, Margo Grady, Karin Molander Olslund, Kristine Gross, and Anna Molander-Hermann; the Hackett-Schaefer Family: James Schaefer and Jean Schaefer Turney. Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday November 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM in St. Peter Church Merchantville. Inurnment will follow in the Burleigh Family Crypt below St. Peter Church.
