Eugene Carter age 66 of Bridgeton, NJ, passed away after a life filled with hard work, curiosity, and love for his family. Born and raised in Bridgeton, he later moved to Daytona, Florida, where he worked as a crew chief for Streets, Roads, and Bridges in Volusia County until retiring in 2023. He then returned to New Jersey to enjoy his retirement.

Eugene loved old western movies, collecting crystals, rebuilding computers, and barbecuing. He was the son of Otto Fletcher Bossie Carter of Bedford, VA, and Rosemary Reeves Crisafulli Carter of Pittsburgh, PA. His grandparents were Eugene Butler Carter and Esther Rowan Overstreet of Bedford, VA, and Anthony Frank Crisafulli and Marie Theresa Feola Crisafulli.

He is survived by siblings Mary Jane Carter, Anthony John Carter (Dorothy), and Thomas Wayne Carter (Joy), as well as his children Eugene F. Spatola, Ronnie Spatola, Michael Lee Carter, and Krystal Marie Carter. He was preceded in death by a baby daughter. Eugene leaves behind several grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.
