Eugene Robert Wonderlin passed away peacefully in his home on April 6th, 2021, at the age of 92.  He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Donnelly) for 67 years. Loving father of Gary Wonderlin of Cherry Hill and Brian (Pamela) Wonderlin, of Barrington.  Devoted grandfather to Rachael and Kara. Dear brother to the late Dorothy, Harry, Leroy and Larry.

Gene was born Jan. 25th, 1929 and grew up in Camden on Newton Avenue. He and Charlotte married on October 24th, 1953.  In 1956 they built a home on Union Avenue in Pennsauken and lived there until his passing.

Gene joined the Army in 1951 during the Korean War, and was stationed in Okinawa till 1953.  After the War, Gene worked as a manager at GL in Westville, NJ.  He later changed careers to computer repair working for RCA, Siemens and GE, from which he retired.

Gene was an avid table tennis player and was the founding member of the South Jersey Table Tennis Club on Federal Street in Camden.  He was the NJ State Doubles Champion for several years running.

Gene loved being outdoors and always had a magnificent garden and the best Jersey tomatoes.  He enjoyed saltwater fishing in Cape May and Brigantine with his brothers.  He also enjoyed woodworking and home renovations.

Gene was a savvy card player, belonging to the senior clubs in Cherry Hill and Maple Shade in his later years.
