Suddenly, on Saturday 6/8/2024, Flora Schubert (nee Wilson), of Philadelphia, PA passed away. Flora was 96 and lived a full but simple life.

Flora was predeceased by her husband Charles Schubert, son Charles "Ricky" Schubert Jr., and daughter-in-law Deborah Schubert. Flora and Charles were faithfully married 65 years!  Flora is survived by her daughters Flora May McAllister of Tampa, Florida, Debbie (Ken) Wallace of Merchantville, NJ, and son Scott (Beth) Schubert of Jamison, PA. Flora is also survived by her sister Helen Lang of  Deptford, NJ, and brother Joseph Wilson of Deptford, NJ, and predeceased by 6 other siblings. Flora was the cherished grandmother of Dawn, Sherry, Jenny, Marc, Meghan, Adam, Joel, Luke, Jordyn, and Benjamin. She was also a great grandmother of 5.

Flora was born and lived her whole life in South Philadelphia in the "Neck" a neighbourhood that was built close to the Delaware River before the Walt Whitman Bridge was constructed. Flora was a born again Christian and a member of Greenwich Light Baptist Church, which started in the same "Neck" neighbourhood where Flora was raised. Flora's whole family was baptized into Christ there and Flora faithfully attend Worship Services there, and other Christian services with her daughter Debbie, and son-in-law Ken into her mid 60's. Flora went to Taggart Elementary, Thomas Junior High, and Bock High School. After marrying Charles at the young age of 16, Flora settled into the sacred role of a Homemaker, dedicating herself to taking care of her (4) children, and supporting her husband Charles' lifelong career as a baker, a trade he continued until his 80's!

Flora relished getting her South Philly "Updo" by her beloved friend Jackie, loved string bands, and adored Classic Christian Hymns such as "Amazing Grace." In the last several years when Flora was in need of assistance; she was lovingly taken care of by her aide Agnes, who became like part of her family. Flora will be missed.

SERVICES: A Christian Memorial Service will be held this Saturday, June 15, 2024 starting PROMPTLY at *12:30 pm at HATBORO CEMETERY 36 FULMOR AVENUE HATBORO, PA 19040 (215) 675-1653 *Please arrive early if possible.*
