On August 9, 2016 age 93 of Stratford, NJ and Crescent City, FL. He was the loving husband of the late Jeanette (nee Sickel) and father of Wendy (Ed) Bridgeford of Haddon Twp., NJ and Gary (Jan) Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and siblings Robert, Ruth and Norma. He was predeceased by his brother Ray and sister Doris. Bud graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1942. After graduation, he joined the Navy and served in WW II on the aircraft carrier USS Savo Island. He worked for NJ Bell Telephone for 38 years and was also a Mason and Past Worthy Patron of Athene Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. After retiring, he moved to Crescent City, FL. Bud enjoyed traveling, boating, golfing, attending Haddon Heights High School reunions and squadron reunions. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday evening from 5:30-6:00 PM in the Alloway Funeral Home 315 E. Maple Avenue Merchantville, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
