JAMES W. MENTZ, SR.

On March 16, 2024, James W Mentz Sr., Age 84 years of Cape May City, NJ, passed away at Cooper Medical Center in Camden, NJ.

He was the devoted husband of the late Cynthia P. Mentz. He is survived by his son James W. Jr., (Allison) Mentz and daughter Deneen Dinkoski and special grandfather to Christen, Brooke, Tyler, Hunter, and the late Kaitlyn. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy (Mentz) Aristone and many nieces and nephews.

Jim attended Temple University and started his own business as an Industrial Electrical and Mechanical Contractor. James held Master Electrical Licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

He always cherished the memories with his family at the Jersey Shore. The times on the beach in the Villas were especially fun and memorable.

In his later years he moved to Cape May City permanently. Jim had deep religious convictions and faith. He attended different Churches until he found the Rio Grande Bible Baptist Church. Jim eventually became a Deacon and a well-loved member of the Church. This would become his permanent church family until he went home to be with the Lord.

Relatives and friends are invited to Services, Saturday March 23, 2024, beginning 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Arlington Cemetery Mausoleum, 1620 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ. Interment in Bethal Memorial Park, next to his beloved Cynthia will follow immediately.
