Joan A. Mathis (nee Umstetter) formerly of Moorestown, NJ went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2017. She was married to the late John A. for 59 years and resided in Moorestown, NJ for most of that time. She had lived with her son Michael and his family for the past 3 years in Upper Pittsgrove Twp., NJ. She was the mother of 5 children Kathleen Turner, Anita Below (deceased), J. Kevin Mathis, Michael Mathis and Christopher Mathis. She had 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Joan attended St. Joseph's College where she graduated with an English degree. She also attended Glassboro State College where she received her teaching degree. She was a substitute teacher for 5 years. She was a member of the choir at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorestown for many years. She was a very faithful woman who loved her God. She was also a loving mother and good friends. Family and friends are invited to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 42 W. Main Street Moorestown, NJ to celebrate her Funeral Mass and life on March 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM.
