John Hugh Murphy, "Murph", age 62 of Ocean City, NJ died peacefully on August 1, 2018 at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a graduate of Frankford High School. John worked for many years at Snyder's of Hanover, the Ocean City Music Pier and the Ocean Colony Condominiums. He enjoyed fishing, boating, living by the water, his beloved family and his dogs. John leaves behind his loving wife of 13 years Lisa Waldron Murphy, his son John Murphy, Jr. (Heather), Maureen Murphy Wynn (Mike). He is also survived by Tara Cannaday (Melissa), Lauren Hendrickson (Kurtis), Sean Cannaday (Michelle) and James Cannaday (Caitlin); grandchildren Samantha, Mackenzie, Michael, Olivia, Landon, Henry, JR, Tyler, Ethan, Connor, Natalie, Mercedes, Kaleb and Jacob; brothers Frank and Michael; and sister Patricia; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his older sister Mary Lucinda Haslam (Frank) and his parents Philomena Murphy Hinfey and Hugh Murphy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at St. Damien Parish/St. Augustine Church 1310 Ocean Avenue Ocean City, NJ on Monday August 6, 2018 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
