Joseph E. Sioli, Sr., age 79, of Brigantine, NJ, formerly of Pennsauken, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2024.  He was born in Camden on June 9, 1945.  Raised in East Camden before moving to Pennsauken.  In his youth, Joe was a proud member of St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral Parish and alumnus of its elementary school, and a 1963 graduate of Camden Catholic High School.  He served 3 years in the NJ National Guard.  Joe worked for 35 years in the Camden County Department of Public Works, retiring as a Principal Engineer in 2002.  He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, and a 4th degree member of St. Peter Council # 6735, having served as a Past Grand Knight and various other offices.

Joe will be remembered as an avid sports fan, possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of sports history, as a willing and capable handy man, and as a formidable armchair political commentator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anne Marra Sioli.  Joe is survived by his brother, Frank J. Sioli, and his wife Linda, of Miami, FL, by his son, Rev. Joseph E. Sioli, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, his daughter Michelle Consuegra, her husband, John, and children, Nathan, Joshua and Abigail of Cherry Hill, NJ, and by his son, Stephen, his wife, Sarah, and children Madeline, Chloe and Avery of Chandler, AZ.

Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Peter Church, 43 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ on Thursday, October 31, 2024, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM.  Inurnment will follow in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
