Juana D. Perez, 87, of Camden, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020 , surrounded by her beloved daughters. Born in Dorado, PR, on September 15, 1932 , Juana was raised in Puerto Rico before moving to Camden, NJ as an adult.

Juana loved life; she loved to "dress to impress" & loved to party. In her spare time, Juana loved taking care of plants & bringing them back to life. Her home often looked like a greenhouse from all the plants she cared for. Her favorite flower was the Pink Orchid. Juana worked as a nurse's aide at Cooper Hospital for many years. One of Juana's passions was serving God. After accepting Christ as her personal Lord & Savior, she lived a Christ-centered life. Juana dedicated most of her adult life serving in several ministries. Her favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13 , "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens and empowers me." (AMP)

In 2013, Juana began to show signs of Dementia, which lead to her going to an assisted living home. Eventually, she developed Alzheimer's on top of the dementia & had to be moved to a nursing home for round the clock care. Her health continued to decline from there when she eventually succumbed to renal failure.

Preceded in death by the love of her life, Army veteran Angel Ramon Ramirez, Sr., as well as three of her sons, Carlos Perez, Francisco Perez & Angel Ramirez, Jr., she is survived by her children; Carmen Diaz (Edwin) of Camden, NJ; Wilfredo Perez, Luz Hernandez (Carlos) of Brooklyn, NY; Anna Vazquez of Camden, NJ, Rosa Lopez (Hector) of Camden, NJ & Olga Ramirez of Burlington, NJ. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to view her live stream Funeral Service on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
