On May 19, 2019, age 80, (nee Santana de Souza Brito) of Whiting, NJ. Born in Bahia, Brazil to the late Jose de Souza Brito and Francisca Joaquina Santana, she was a retired cafeteria manager and self-taught chef in the commercial food business for several years. She enjoyed fishing, camping and music especially Mahalia Jackson, Hank Williams, Sr., Simon & Garfunkel and Led Zeppelin. She was the devoted mother of James Anthony and his wife Beth Anne McCann and loving grandmother to Grace Emily McCann. A Prayer Vigil Service will be held on Friday June 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Church of St. Michael the Archangel 2015 Allenwood Rd. Wall Twp., NJ. A Celebration of Julia's life will also be held on Saturday June 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. Flowers are welcome as Julia loved daisies, but the family encourages everyone to remember her in the way they see fit through donations to a charity.
