Karen Martini (nee Gillespie), o n January 18, 2024, age 79 years, was called home to our Lord.  Karen was born March 31, 1944, to the late Edward and Mildred Gillespie.  Karen is survived by her loving children, 1 daughter, Gina Martini, and son, Jon (Denise) Martini, adoring grandchildren, Alyssa and Luke Martini and 1 brother Kurt (Susan) Gillespie. Karen was predeceased by her husband, Clement Martini, 3 sisters, Patricia Gallagher, Lynne Gillespie, Terri Gillespie and 1 brother Reverend Edward Gillespie.

Karen was devoted to her children and grandchildren, who she spoiled endlessly.  She loved gardening and music.  There was always a song playing when she was home, including an Elvis Christmas album in the summer. Karen worked at numerous diners in the area including Diamond Diner and Ponzio's for close to 50 years.  Karen was dedicated to her work of service and was loved by all who knew her.  Many of her customers would follow her to wherever she was employed.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Wednesday, January 24, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield NJ 08033, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers family request donations to made to the Wounded Warrior Project support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
