Lucy P. Austrowska Swope Hunter , formerly of Palmyra, NJ, went home to be with her Lord on December 27, 2024, at the age of 99. She was born on October 11, 1925, in Cambridge, NJ.  She was the youngest of five daughters of the late Karolis and Kazimiera Austrowska (nee: Krivitskas) and predeceased by her four sisters Millie Lechner, Helen Konieczka, Katherine Swope, and Mary Hullings.

Lucy and her late husband of 33 years, Edward F. Hunter lived in the Palmyra Harbour Condominium Association. She loved her home in the "Harbour." She is also predeceased by her former husband Francis B. Swope and their four daughters Joanne C. Swope, Diana M. Larkin (Swope), Karen L. Larkin (Swope) and Patricia A. Welsh-Brown (Swope).

She is survived by her children Nancy L. Swope, Frank (Bonnie) Swope, Bob (Cindi) Swope, Michael T. Swope and Janet C. Cron (Swope), 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

As a young teenager, Lucy loved to dance the polka and the jitterbug. She also loved to read and write poetry. She is remembered by her children for her homemade cherry pies that were made with the cherries from the tree in their yard in Camden (Cramer Hill), NJ. After her retirement from SKF Industries Inc., Philadelphia, PA, she chose piano as a hobby and played classical music. Her favorite being "Fur Elise."

Her daughters will especially remember her for her love of the Christmas Season and the years of special Christmas Pollyanna nights, when we would exchange gifts, she would give us each a special gift and take us out to a nice restaurant (her treat).

Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Alloway Funeral Home, 315 E. Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ at 10:15 AM. until 11:30 AM with a celebration of life service beginning at 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM. Interment will be immediately following at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 RT-130N, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077
