Marie R. Bassetti (nee Meglio), On December 15, 2025, age 96 years, of Florence, NJ passed peacefully surrounded by her family.  She was the loving daughter to the late Nicholas and Rose (nee Richards) Meglio, devoted wife to her late husband, Albert Bassetti and adoring grandmother to the late Michael Zippel.  She is survived by one son Albert J. (Cathleen), two daughters Rosemarie Bassetti and Theresa (Michael) Zippel; three grandsons Jason (Jenniebeth) Zippel, Dylan Fox and Alexander Bassetti; two great grandchildren AJ and Michael Zippel.

Marie was born and raised in Philadelphia and then moved to Maple Shade, NJ., where she became a life-long resident and raised her family.  Marie is remembered as a loving, kind, and gentle woman who loved her family, children and had a special bond with her cats.  She devoted herself to children by working many years in the school cafeteria for the Maple Shade School District and managing her own Daycare program to make sure the children received all the love and attention they needed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday evening, December 21,2025 in the Alloway Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00P.M. and again Monday morning from 9:00 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade 08052.  Interment will be private on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery.
