On January 11, 2021, age 88, of Cherry Hill NJ.  Marie was the wife of Albert A. Vassey Jr. (deceased 2006) for 50 Years, and Mother of Albert (Rosemary) of Myrtle Beach SC, Michael (Cynthia) of Cherry Hill, Mark (JoAngela) of Cherry Hill, and James of Marlton.  She is also survived by four grandchildren - Albert, Kevin, Marie, and Colin, and 1 great grandchild, as well as by two brothers John Chapman (Jack) of W. Deptford, and Thomas Chapman of Ocean City.  Marie was a native Philadelphian, a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, and attended class reunions for more than 50 years.  She worked as an Office Administrator for George Rodgers MD for 30 years prior to her retirement.  Marie was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, and loved following the Phillies.  She attended games at Shibe Park, Connie Mack Stadium, Veterans Stadium, and Citizens Bank Park, including the World Series, as well as Baltimore Camden Yards and Yankee Stadium.  She was an avid reader, and a highly intelligent person.  She had natural grace, personality, style, class and beauty - qualities for which she was greatly admired, and loved.  She was a very great lady who lived her life in complete devotion to her children and family.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday January 16 at 11AM at The Catholic Church of St. Mary 2001 Springdale Road Cherry Hill NJ.  Interment Calvary Cemetery Rt 70 Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health of NJ Attn: Sharma Spencer 286 Mantua Grove Road Building 4 West Deptford NJ 08066.
