Mary Virginia Harp (nee Cook), 89 years, longtime resident of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024. Virginia was the loving mother of Virginia (Gary) Gallicchio and Kathleen (Raymond) Britton. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Lauren (David) Britton, Raymond (Katherine) Britton, Kenneth (Allison) Gallicchio and Danielle Gallicchio, as well as her four great grandchildren, Oliver, Noah, Thea and Lucas Britton. She is predeceased in death by her loving parents, Eleanor and Joseph Cook, along with her beloved husband of 63 years, Rene J Harp.

Virginia grew up in Philadelphia and attended West Catholic Girls. She was proud of her roots, making sure everyone knew she was from the city. After moving to Maple Shade with her husband, she became involved with the town early on. She was an avid dancer and music lover, having translated her love of both in her time with the Footlighters. She was involved in girl scouts, bowling leagues and the Seniors Club. Chances are, if you knew Virginia, you knew her from her involvement with OLPH Church in Maple Shade. She was devoted to her faith, going to church as frequently as she could. After her grandchildren grew up, she was a lunch lady for OLPH School before it's closure. Virginia told everyone who would listen to her about how proud she was of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was surrounded by many friends and her family throughout her life-leaving a lasting impression.

Maple Ave, Merchantville, NJ 08109 and again Thursday morning 8:30AM-9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday July 25, 2024, 10:30 AM in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ 08052.  Interment scheduled for 1:00PM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Military Cemetery 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562
