Michael J. Cooker, Sr. age 85, left us too soon on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on December 2, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mike grew up in Camden, New Jersey, where he laid the foundation of a life defined by devotion to family, community, and faith.

Mike affectionately "Mickey" to longtime friends and family, he was the beloved husband and soulmate of the late Nina Cooker (nee Farrell), with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.  A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1959, he married Nina in 1961, and together they built a family and home filled with love, laughter, and enduring tradition.

Mike dedicated many years of his professional life to Coca-Cola USA and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Philadelphia, where he served with distinction as a Fountain Service Manager.  His work ethic and commitment reflected the pride he took in everything he did.

As President of Country Squires Condominiums in Marlton for many years, Mike was a tireless advocate for his fellow residents, ensuring beautiful grounds and quality upgrades at fair prices.  His dedication to the community he called home was a testament to the same care and principle he brought to every aspect of his life.

To many, Mike was simply "Coach Cooker", a fixture on the sidelines of St Joan of Arc CYO teams for thirty years, where he poured his heart into the lives of young athletes and their families.  His presence in the bleachers, cheering on his children and grandchildren at countless sporting events, was a constant and cherished sight.  In the later years he could often be found riding his bicycle alongside Nina on her beloved long walks, whether on the Ocean City boardwalk, through the neighborhoods of Naples, Florida, or along the paths of Country Squire.

Mike was a man of deep faith, active in the life of his church community alongside Nina for many years.  His love for his family was immeasurable-- he was the cornerstone of Sunday night dinners at Mallard Drive, a tradition that brought together family and friends year after year.  Mike also enjoyed a fine meal, a glass of red wine accompanied by a glass of ice and listening to music on the back porch while watching folks stroll by his country Squire abode.

Mike  is survived by his devoted Children, Tracy Ann Frascarelli, Denise Amons (Michael), and Michael Cooker, Jr. (Stephanie); his beloved grandchildren, Phillip Frascarelli (Theresa), Nina Frascarelli, Matthew Frascarelli, Patrick Amons, Jake Amons, Christopher Amons, AnnMarie Cooker, Julia Cooker, and Angelina Cooker; one great grandchild; his sister-in-law Betty Farrell; his loving siblings, Mildred DiLorenzo and Woodrow Cooker (Angie); and many cherished nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred (nee Mathews) and Woodrow Cooker, Sr.: his beloved wife Nina; his sister Margaret (Charles) Veasey; his son-in-law Michael Frascarelli; his sister-in-law Evelyn Ferren: and his brother-in-law Anthony Farrell.

Although Mike will be deeply missed, he leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selfless dedication that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 9:30 AM, with Funeral Services celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday March 20, 2026, at Fellowship Community Church, 1520 Hainesport Road Mt.
