Paul Joseph Coleman, age 90, of Georgetown, DE passed away peacefully on Friday December 16, 2016 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, DE. Paul was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Maurice J. and Sarah V. (nee Quinn) Coleman. He was a Police Captain for the City of Philadelphia, retiring in 1974. He then served as Police Chief of Darby, PA from 1975-1977. Lastly, he worked at Philadelphia Suburban Water Company from 1978-1996. Paul was also a US Army WWII veteran. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his first wife Eugenia M. (nee Toner) Coleman and his second wife, Rhoda (Nee Schork) Coleman. He is survived by two sons Matthew P. Coleman of Bridgeport, CT and Dennis Coleman of Glendale, CA. He was also preceded in death by his stepson Jacob P. Boyce, III, and is survived by his stepchildren Michael F. Boyce of Ocean City, NJ, Suzanne M. Small of Birdsboro, PA, Christina M. Cortese of Ocean City, and Matthew J. Boyce of Glenolden, PA.
