Richard W. Eckert, on March 6, 2024, age 77 years, resident of Sewell, NJ.  Beloved husband of 57 years to Kathleen (nee Blank).  He was the proud father to his 2 sons Richard (Linda) Eckert and the late Marc Eckert, doting grandfather to his grandson, Richard.  He is also survived by 2 sisters, Suzanne Stock and Gina Burke, 2 brothers, Robert (Patty) and William Eckert and will also be missed by his special nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, William and Cecilia Eckert and 1 sister, Shirley Flichman.

Richard was born and raised in Philadelphia. He loved sports!  He enjoyed playing hockey, but baseball was his favorite sport to play. He was a fan of all sports.  He proudly coached for his son's soccer and basketball teams, and if he wasn't coaching, he was faithfully on the sidelines cheering.    Some other hobbies included riding his motorcycle and watching TV.

Richard was a very hard worker.  He was a contractor and owned his own business, E&E Roofing and Siding, he was proud of the work he did, but mostly because he worked alongside his sons.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Tuesday evening March 12, 2024 beginning at 6:00PM until 8:00PM in the Alloway Funeral Home 315 E. Maple Ave. Merchantville NJ 08109.  Funeral Service to begin at 8:00PM.  Interment is Private.  Arrangements under the direction of Roedel- Krause Funeral Home.
