Robert W. Bluemke (Bob) , age 84 years, of Burlington, NJ, it is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on July 20, 2025—just five days shy of his 85th birthday.  Born on July 25, 1940, in Jamaica, New York, Bob was the proud son of an Army Sergeant. His childhood adventures took him to France and Germany, sparking a lifelong love of travel (though he always found his way back to New York sports).

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—at his happiest when surrounded by family, cracking a clever joke, or settling in with his New York Post. A die-hard Yankees fan, Bob truly bled navy blue and white. You could count on him to be decked out in Yankees gear from head to toe—fitted cap included—ready to cheer on his team with unmatched loyalty.

In high school, Bob was a standout athlete, captain and quarterback of his football team and a shining star on the basketball court. That competitive spirit stayed with him for life—especially during trips to the Atlantic City casinos, where he was always ready for a little luck and a lot of fun.

But more than anything, Bob treasured quality time with his family. Whether it was a casual visit, a holiday celebration, or simply a good conversation, those were the moments he held dearest.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Sheila Bluemke (nee Dias); his children, Brian Bluemke, Robin Yoos (Donald), and Michael Bluemke (Cerese); his grandchildren, Casey Senni (Anthony), Christopher Yoos, Skyler Bluemke, Nicholas Bluemke, Brian Bluemke Jr., Daniel Bluemke, and Stephanie Bluemke; and his great-grandchildren, Colton and Teagan. He is also survived by his stepbrother, Jack Fitzpatrick (Judy). Bob was preceded in death by his father, Peter J. Bluemke, and his stepmother, Marion (Vollet) Bluemke.

Bob's love for his family, his passion for the Yankees, and his sharp wit and warm heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

Relatives and Friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 8th at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Church 223 E.
