Stephen C. Ackerman, age 60, died March 2, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, he was a  53-year resident of Pennsauken, NJ

He was the beloved partner and best friend of James Cicalese for 35 years. He was the beloved son of the late Rose (nee Fedalen) and Charles Ackerman.  He was the loving brother of the late Carol (Ackerman) Griffith, Joyce (DJ) Price, and Christine (Vartkes) Apkarian.  He is also survived by two nephews, Michael (Kristin) Griffith and Sean (Lisa) Mahoney, a niece Alexandra (Andrew) Kushnir, two grandnephews Simon and Connor and a grandniece Emma as well as many loving cousins.

Stephen was a 1978 graduate of Camden Catholic High School and received his Associate Degree at Camden County College. He was also a graduate of the American Academy of Broadcasting.  He worked as a DJ in Trenton and at WKDN in Camden. He was a long-time customer service rep at the Sears service center in Pennsauken.

He will be dearly remembered for his deep faith, kindness, and his heart of compassion for others.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mary Queen of All Saints, 4824 Camden Ave., Pennsauken, NJ.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
