In Loving Memory of Steven Szymanski

Steven Szymanski passed away surrounded by the love of his family following a courageous battle with complications from kidney disease. Throughout his health journey, Steve faced each day with determination and resilience, driven by a deep desire for more time with the people who meant the most to him.

Gifted with a brilliant mind, Steve possessed a natural aptitude for mathematics. His sharp intellect and effortless way with numbers earned the admiration of everyone who knew him.

His family will forever remember cheering at countless sporting events, spending summer afternoons at the movies, vacationing in the Bahamas, and enjoying competitive rounds of chip and putt golf. Steve taught his children how to drive, passed down his love of sports, and was there when it counted most. Those moments together became some of their favorite memories.

Steve had a lifelong passion for sports and a deep love of horses. Whether watching a game, following his favorite teams, or talking about horses, these interests brought him great enjoyment. Fulfilling a lifelong dream, he became a part owner of a racehorse, an experience that brought him tremendous pride.

Being Pop Pop to Josephine and Miriam "Mimi" was something Steve genuinely enjoyed. He looked forward to celebrating birthdays and holidays with them, spending time together at the shore, and watching them grow. Those moments gave him something special to look forward to and became meaningful memories for his family.

Steve valued the time he spent with his siblings. He spoke with them every day, and their love, support, and constant presence were a source of strength throughout his health journey. The bond they shared meant a great deal to him.

Steve is survived by his children, Jade (Edward), Brooke, and Dean; his beloved granddaughters, Josephine and Miriam "Mimi"; his siblings, Barbara Zembruski (Mark), Joseph Szymanski (Patti), John Szymanski (Andrea), Linda Osborne, and Lorraine Wenstrom (Robert); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Deal; his brother-in-law, Clyde Osborne; and his parents, John Szymanski and Dorothy (née Hayworth).

Steve will be remembered for his quick wit, intelligence, resilience, and his deep love of sports and family. The memories shared with him will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
