Susan Bibbo (nee Maiorano), age 93, of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away on February 8, 2019. Born August 13, 1925 in South Philadelphia to the late Salvatore (Sam) and Carmellina  (Cannizzo) Maiorano, she was a 1943 graduate of South Phila. Girls High School. After graduation, she was offered a job as a Sicilian/Italian translator to aid the war effort in Europe. She would never leave her family or home but chose to serve in the Quartermaster's Office in the Navy Yard. In the following years, she handled the sealed bids for defense contracts, a very prestigious position. Following her marriage and birth of her two adoring sons she returned to work. She worked along side her husband in the family bakery and later for RCA in Cherry Hill and the Twp. of Cherry Hill before retiring. Her devout Catholic faith led her to be one of the first Eucharistic Ministers and her devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Divine Mercy) and the Blessed Mother was an inspiration to all. She was the wife of the late Carmen Joe and is survived by 2 sons Ronald and Joseph; one sister Tina (Late James) Naughton; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Nancy Menta. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Alloway Funeral Home 315 E. Maple Ave. Merchantville, NJ. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church Gibbsboro, NJ. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
