On September 23, 2018, age 74. He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Colozzi) and devoted father of Christina Mitchell M.D. (Gregory Sullivan) and Melissa Pizarro (Derek). He was the loving grandfather of Luke, Chase and Fiona Sullivan and Dylan and Drew Pizarro. He was the dear brother of Carol Boyden and Ann Mitchell. A lifelong resident of Merchantville, NJ, Tom was a graduate of Rutgers University studying  Business Administration and received his Juris Doctorate from Dickinson School of Law. Early in his career, Tom maintained a practice in criminal law and served over 30 years as Assistant Prosecutor and as Assistant County Counsel prior to his retirement in 2009. Tom's major interests and expertise were in the legal aspects of municipal government and assisting with the Veterans Affairs Community. Tom and Linda moved to Rydal Senior Community in Jenkintown, PA in 2016 to be closer to their daughters. Tom delighted in watching football (especially his Eagles!), cooking/barbecuing, vacationing in Avalon, NJ and Nantucket, MA. He prided himself on decorating his indoor, 20 foot Christmas tree, a well known tradition to friends and neighbors in Merchantville. Above all, he cherished every moment spent with his family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:00 AM in St. Peter Church Merchantville, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Alloway Funeral Home 315 East Maple Avenue Merchantville, NJ.
