Victoria Medina, 81 years old of Williamstown NJ.  She passed away peacefully July 7,2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Victoria is survived by her loving children, Lionel Jimenez, Isaac Jimenez, Cynthia Medina, Alexsandro Medina, Lisandra Medina, and Magdalena Medina. She will be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father- Brenda and Alfonso Acosta, as well as her two sisters- Justina and Carmen Acosta of Vieques, Puerto Rico.

Victoria Medina Acosta (Vicky) was born in Vieques, Puerto Rico.  At a young age she would display signs of her tremendous artistic and creative abilities.  She sewed her first dress at the age of 8 and from there her love from sewing began.  Victoria moved to Camden NJ in the 1950's. She also lived in New York City where her career began, making briefcases and tailoring men's suits.  She then moved back to Camden in 1968 to continue sewing and to pursue a simpler life while raising her children.

In 1971 Victoria married and then became a Jehovah's Witness.  She continued to master her craft while maintaining a balanced relationship with God.  During this time her family continued to grow, and she bought her first Merrow sewing machine and started her own business.  Her business thrived and she was known in the community as "Vicky's Bride"

Through the years she would make hundreds upon hundreds of Proms, Sweet 16, Quinceanera dresses, Pageant, and Wedding Dresses. Her clients could simply point to a picture in a magazine and replicate its design.  Ultimately, she became a Master Seamstress.

As her health declined, Victoria retired and lived with her youngest daughter. During this time, she adored spending extra time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting & making small sculptures and figurines with various materials.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing, Wednesday July 13, 2022, in the Alloway Funeral Home 315 E. Maple Avenue, Merchantville NJ 08109, beginning at 4:00PM-5:30PM.  Funeral Service to begin at 5:30PM. Interment will be private.
