Vincent P. Russo, a longtime resident of Haddonfield NJ, died at United Methodist Communities, Collingswood NJ, on June 26, 2019. He was 86.

Born in Brooklyn NY on February 22, 1933 to Charles and Josephine Russo, Vince attended St. John's University and later obtained a master's degree in business administration from New York University. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was stationed also in Germany. After working with FMC Corporation in New York, he moved to the company's head office in Philadelphia. He declined several subsequent offers of transfers, and left the company to start his own business – accounting, tax preparation, and payroll – in Haddonfield.

He was an active member of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield for more than 30 years. He served as treasurer and administrator for both the club and its foundation, and was named Treasurer Emeritus in 2009. He was the club's president in 1994-95. Over the years, he sponsored more than 20 new members, many of whom subsequently took leadership roles in the club. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his generous contributions to The Rotary Foundation.

After fire destroyed Haddonfield's Mt. Pisgah AME Church in 2006, Vince played a leading role in raising funds to rebuild the structure. He subsequently became a member of the congregation, and attended services frequently.

Vince was proud of his Sicilian heritage, and visited the villages of his ancestors several times. On the Fourth of July each year, when Haddonfield Rotarians parade down Kings Highway carrying the flags of many nations, Vince made a point of getting to the assembly point early, to lay claim to the flag of Italy.

Vince was extremely social. He enjoyed the company of many friends, and they enjoyed being with him. He had a big smile and a bigger laugh; both were infectious. He was openly generous with family and friends, and quietly very generous with a variety of organizations, initiatives, and causes.

Vince Russo was predeceased by his wife Helen, by their son Michael, and by his brother Joseph. He is survived by his longtime companion, Janice Mark; son Joseph of Perkiomenville PA; daughter Gina (Jack) Read of Atco NJ; and grandchildren Ashley and George Read.
